For the Star Wars Fans Out There......

Earlier in the Summer, I was sent a picture and was asked if I could turn it into a quilt for a guys birthday present. Challenge accepted. It really wasn't much of a challenge as this was the picture I was sent.

(I did not make this and do not know who did but it's awesome)

So I sketched it out, ordered some Kona in white, grey, and black, and went to work!

The part I enjoyed most was seeing it coming together on my wall....

All the strips were 6.5 inches wide....had to buy a new ruler for this but it was worth it.

I also love the pixelation of it.  I sewed the strips together and then quilted it using Pellon's Nature's Touch 100% cotton batting (which I love) and Aurifil thread in black and white.

I also quilt in a ship..
 And the dark side's symbol...
And another one...

Overall I was really happy with this quilt and had fun doing it. The orderer loved it and so did the recipient!!

I can only assume that he is smiling ear to ear behind the quilt.

What Star Wars Character would you like to see made into a quilt??

Enjoy your weekend!!
